Let Us Entertain You!

“All the world’s a stage.” – William Shakespeare

And wait until you see what’s on the stages in your Vallarta world this season!

We are so excited about the entertainment options that Vallarta now offers, we felt the need to devote some space to share the good buzz. From musicals to drama, torch singers and local favorites, there are so many options you will be spending more time in Vallarta to catch all you want to see.

The Palm Cabaret and Bar, located in the heart of La Zona Romantica, has been bringing outstanding performers to Vallarta for more than 10 years. Anyone who knows Tracy Parks, Entertainment Director, and Eric Vann aka Beverly Fairfax, Publicity Director, understands where the passion and process come from in every detail at The Palm. This season it gets even better! “It is exciting to see the quality and diversity of entertainment in Vallarta blossom,” shares Tracy. “I feel fortunate to be a part of this very creative process and enjoy doing something that I hope brings joy to all of us. It sure does to me.” We believe Tracy hit it on the head. You always leave the Palm JOYFUL! Check out The Palm Cabaret’s website or Facebook page for info on the shows that you really do not want to miss.

La Zona Romantica welcomes Act II Entertainment’s Stages as the new kid on the block this year. This entertainment complex boasts a 180-seat theatre, a 98-seat cabaret, and a piano bar all under one roof. No matter your mood, Act II has got an evening of entertainment for you. One of the most exciting entertainment projects we have seen recently, The Voice of Vallarta, brings us the first reality show of its kind. Contestants compete and winners are determined through an elimination process based on judges and audience votes. Local talent. BIG fun! “We are getting ready to launch Vallarta has Talent 2014,” spilled Danny Mininni, Business Manager, who together with David Restivo, Operations Director, and Elizabeth Wiggins Ensor, PR Director, make up the creative powerhouse behind the scenes. “This competition will be opened up to any kind of talent. So if balancing an egg on the tip of your nose is your talent, BRING IT!” Visit Act II Entertainment’s website or Facebook page for info on this most welcome addition to the Vallarta entertainment scene.

Next month we’ll showcase two more venues with even more options. Stay tuned!

Introducing La Cocina de Amor 2.0!

One of the questions we ask our family of friends often when they visit helps us focus on what we need to do: “Could we have done anything better?” We have made changes in our menu, service, environment and even staffing based on the comments we receive directly from you. We appreciate your thoughtful insights and rely on them.

Another question we like to ask to those who have been with us before helps us with consistency, “Was your favorite meal as good as you remember?” We all have been back to a favorite restaurant, order the meal we’ve been savoring in our minds, only to be disappointed when it arrives. Consistency rates high as a priority for No Way Jose!. When we hear, “Even better!” as the response to that question, we can all thank La Cocina de Amor 2.0.

Meet Marcos Lepe, the new executive chef at No Way Jose!. Marcos has been with the team for two years learning recipes, building the team and focusing on new dishes. This season he takes the helm of La Cocina de Amor and ensures all of the NWJ! favorites are delivered exactly the way they were first created.

The next time you’re in Tu Casa in Vallarta, try our new Beef Carpaccio Mexican Style, or the Mussels a la Tequila, and say “hola” to Marcos. He wants to hear from you how he’s doing!

Vallarta Conservatory of Mexican Orchids

Mexico enjoys being home to over 1200 different species of orchids. Around 300 of these are found no where else on the planet!

The Vallarta Botanical Gardens has raised thousands of dollars for the construction of the Vallarta Conservatory of Mexican Orchids. This world-class showcase had a generous donor offer $100,000 USD in matching funds last year for this Conservatory Campaign. This same donor has increased his donation by another $50,000 until April of 2014. If your donation is received before then, it will be matched dollar for dollar!
