Beef Carpaccio Mexican Style

A new NWJ! favorite

In the NWJ! tradition of bringing you classic dishes with our own twist, your Cocina de Amor satisfies your summer cravings for light and delicious fare with a new appetizer offering: Beef Carpaccio a la Mexicana.

You will enjoy the thinly sliced raw beef with the Mexican touch of chile guajillo together with the olive oil and lemon marinade for an appetizer or even light dinner. With a glass of the L.A. Cetto Petit Syrah, and you could be meeting your new NWJ! favorite!

Employee of the Month

Meet José Alfredo Carrillo Salas.

If you visited the No Way José! stand at last year’s International Altruism Festival DETAILS HERE, then you’ll recognize the NWJ! Employee of the Month, José Alfredo Carrillo Salas. It’s not surprising that all of our Employees of the Month so far this season have come from the kitchen staff. The Cocina de Amor lives our promise to keep our guests happy and infuses every dish that leaves the kitchen with our secret ingredient: el amor!

José Alfredo, 32, started exploring the culinary world in a Mismaloya restaurant at 20. Having been around his grandparents and uncles who are all avid cooks, he started to gravitate toward the kitchen. “I started to learn how to add flavor to my life by preparing dishes that people enjoyed,” he shares. “Now I want to learn even more. I really like the desserts we serve. We all like peeking through the window to see the expression on people’s faces.”

“Come to No Way José! for dinner,” José Alfredo says, “You will leave with the pleasure of good food and drink!”
