De Colores Dinner, Dance & Auction

Saturday, March 21

Get ready for one of Vallarta’s most inspiring and unique events as The Puerto Vallarta Men’s Chorus hosts its 3rd DE COLORES fundraising gala Saturday, March 21, 6 PM, at Oscar’s Restaurant in the heart of Vallarta at the edge of the Bahía de Banderas.

No Way José! proudly participates as a corporate sponsor in partnership with Puerto Vallarta Boat Tours offering a luxurious 3-hour Sunset Cocktail Cruise as an auction item.

The annual cocktail party, live and silent auctions, dinner and dance under the stars, features performances by the Chorus throughout the evening. DE COLORES has become one of the season’s most anticipated events and the Chorus is going all out to create another memorable night this year.

This year’s live auction will be conducted by none other than two of Greater Tuna, Texas’s leading ladies, the lovely Vera Carp, and everyone’s favorite aunt, Pearl Burris. If you’ve seen “Greater Tuna” at The Palm or around the world, you know it’s sure to be a lively event with those two civic wonders heading up the auction and the men of the PVMC there to entertain you as well!

The auctions will feature the best the Bay and Mexico have to offer-food, experiences, jewelry, art, as well as a few surprises, like African safaris, adventures across Mexico, and even a Grand Piano…and why not? After all, the Chorus IS about music!

The evening concludes with dancing alongside the lovely seaside and river gardens.

Come support the first gay men’s chorus in Mexico! Advance tickets for this year’s gala are $1000 pesos and are on sale now at The Palm, Sama Martini Bar, and The Timothy Group (credit cards accepted at Timothy Group).

For more informatino about tickets or to donate to the auction, or become a table host, please contact [mailto][/mailto] or this year’s DE COLORES Chair, Allyn Dixon, at [mailto][/mailto].

Client Testimonials

“The best service in Puerto Vallarta! The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is sublime! Can’t say enough about it. Try to be seated on the rooftop terrace if you can. Excellent restaurant. I had the duck special which was out of this world, I almost licked the plate. We also tried the red snapper Veracruz and the coconut shrimp with the peanut sauce. All was delicious! The Caesar salad is made tableside as was the desert, bananas flambé! The staff and owners are super and very friendly.”

“I’m very pleased with my dining experience today. I happened to walk around the block without noticing this place. It looked empty, so I wasn’t really keen on dining there. Little did I know, they have a rooftop terrace that was fairly filled.

I had a chicken breast filled with vegetables, mushrooms and topped with a corn truffle sauce. The meal was extraordinary and I spent a good hour in gastronomic heaven!

Food is one thing, but service is something else. Once I stepped in the place, I had 4 people following me, which felt fairly awkward, but in an awesome sense. If I recall correctly, my main waiter was “Kiko” and he definitely pleased me in every way possible. From filling up water every 2 minutes to exchanging my ashtrays.

I had a free appetizer on the house, which was a tortilla chip with cheese, some veggies and a pasta of some sort. As well as fresh & warm bread with two kinds of butter, also free on the house.

So I had a great dining experience with a nice meal, two coffees and water for 215 pesos. I’d say the value You get for Your money at this place is nothing but amazing! Will definitely come back, as I saw some beefs on the menu! :)”
